Today was my mom's first day ALL alone with me. My dad went back to work and my grandparents had to fly home or something. She was a little nervous, but I was on my best behavior for her. We woke up, ATE, got ready, ATE, went to the potty, ATE, did some chores, ATE, and went to pick up lunch for her friend Audrey. I was excited because Audrey has a son too. His name is Liam. He is a tiny little guy, but super cool. We hung out together. He slept a lot, but I managed to wake him up for a PHOTO shootout!!!

JUST me!
Mommy and me
My daddy got to feed me!!!
My mom didn't wait that 21 day rule...she wanted to share the wealth so at barely 2 weeks she pumped so that my dad could feed me too. It was a little weird at first, but I got into it and the smile on his face made me feel good. I really don't care who does the feedings...just as long as they don't forget.
Fun with Grandparents!
Outings with Whityn...
As many of you know...getting OUT with a newborn is an adventure...1. The parents are a nervous wreck and boiling with anxiety. 2. All of a sudden..instead of keys, you are carrying carseats, diaper bags, blankies, and all sorts of weird stuff. 3. You can't really focus on whomever you are meeting out..because all of your attention is on your new bambino. 4. All of your friends without kids suddenly treat you like you have the plague..especially when you are changing the 3rd poopie diaper. Here's to braving it with our new little guy!
Drinks and poops at Teton Springs
Emporium milkshakes...yummy!!!
Eating at SCRATCH...or sleeping there!
MY mommy and daddy were so proud that I laid on the picnic table and stared at the umbrella while they finished their dinner! I am one brave 3 week old!

Anticipation...
Well, I went to bed early tonight because tomorrow is a BIG day. I get to meet my grandparents for the first time. They are flying all the way across America to see me. I can hardly wait. I hope they love me. Momma and Dad told me so much about them all ready. I know I will love to fish with my Papa Skip and my Nonna is going to adventure with me I just know it. Goodnight everyone...see you soon. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

Adventures with Whityn!
Well, it's been a time of figuring out and learning around the GRIFFIN house. Whityn teaches us 2 or 3 lessons a day...ha ha! We have been busy with doctor appointments (in which he gained 7 ounces in 7 days and grew a whole inch), walks (I can't go far yet, but it feels good to get out of the house), crying spells (this is wear Jordy and I wear out the 5 S's: Swaddle, Side, Shh, swing, and last "if necessary" suck), and lots of reading while he is sleeping on what to do next! It has been a steep learning curve for sure and a fun and exciting one!

39 WEEKS...4 days!
Pictures to come....
Here are the stats from today's visit to Theresa:
Still 80% effaced
2 cm dilated
Head is fully engaged and baby has dropped!
Theresa said these are GREAT signs that baby and body are doing what they are supposed to. Could happen soon...could go past my due date...who knows still! I will keep you posted.

Natural ways to induce labor....that I have tried!
1. WALKING...
2. Squats (At least 5 times a day for 1 minute each)
3. Crawling around on all fours
4. Mowing the lawn on a riding lawnmower
5. Going on Boat rides with Anne on the palisades
6. Eat Spicy Mexican food (did it last night)
7. Drink a glass of red wine (did half a glass tonight)
8. Exercise ball (doing it tonight during 24)
It's funny that I am already waiting on this little nugget...and they aren't even in the world yet. I guess when they are ready....they will come!!!
Like my Nannie says: Patience is a virtue and virtue is a grace and GRACE is a little girl who wouldn't wash her face.

A new hobby? maybe
I can't get enough of sanding down furniture, painting it, and distressing it a bit more. Here are two pieces I have done this summer. The RED dresser was Jordy's as a kid and it was brown and plain. I jazzed it up a bit and it sits in the BABY room now. The blue table below is from Jordy's house growing up and was sitting in our garage. It looks 10 times better. Guess next time I will do before and after shots so that you believe me.
Waffle Sunday!
When Jordy was a kid his family made WAFFLES every Sunday. Jordy and I have been carrying on this tradition since we met. I look forward to Sundays now because Jordy gets up and starts breakie and serves me up (okay this is the part I really like)!!! We always love putting Maple syrup on them, but our new thing is putting jam on top...yum. We can't wait to get Baby Griffin eating waffles. These days WAFFLE SUNDAY really rocks because of waffles and fresh chicken eggs.
