Pumpkins, dragons...and dates...OH MY!

Hello all! This little man *aka dragon is growing like a weed. He is in toddler mode...I think. It's crazy. He is experimenting with running...and finds it all quite funny. He NOW loves his bat I bought him for his first b-day. He picks it up and says, "ba...ba...ba"...and I say, "Hey, batter, batter, batter, swing batter!" He loves it!

Friday was Whit's daycare parade...I was lucky enough to leave school for an hour while one of the other teacher's and my friend *Jade* took my 8 kindergartners...
I got them in time to help get kids dressed.

then there was a group shot...see me looking OBNOXIOUS in the top right corner...I had wings...but they were left at school...I am a halloween fairy...hehehehe.

Friday night...after my school halloween party...I raced off to Jackson for a date with my honey...we had a blast...sushi and a movie...haven't see a movie in awhile...*note*-look how festive I still am...
Today (minutes ago....) we finished the Saturday morning PUMPKIN run...or walk, skip, turn, jump and jog....most of the way...it was fun....IT WAS FREEZING!
But Whityn loved every second...a lady with a cape was running in front of us..and whityn thought that was the coolest thing!

SUNDAY...carving.

Jordy and I had class Friday night and all day on Saturday...so it was another weekend where Whityn hung out with our "FANTASTIC" neighbor...Chris...she's the baby-whisperer...

After 2 exhausting days in class...we did some relaxing on Sunday morning and then did some prepping for our ANNUAL "Carving contest"...not a big turn out this year...partly due to weather I think...it was yucky out....rainy and cold.

However...we did have a great little crew show up..and most went home with a prize...

our blank slate...every year jordy and i laugh..that we never PLAN an idea...or talk about it...which is why we never win our own contest...i guess...

this was how Whitty looked most of Sunday...quite moody and cranky...nothing seemed to make him happy...not even being outside...

however I put on his dragon costume and we FAKED it...he made it about an hour through the party..then I put him to bed....at almost 5 o'clock.

Sometimes I can't believe I live here...

driving to Kelly, Wyoming a few days ago...had to stop by car three times on the way to a teacher training because of buffalo....so many I lost count...on the way home...saw 3 moose on teton pass...in the oncoming lane...crazy. I love it here. I envy Whityn for growing up here...seeing this...doing what we do on a regular basis...I hope he appreciates it one day.back of our pad from out in the wheat field.

his latest obsession...the ball...apple doesn't fall far from the tree i guess...i too am a lover of all sports involving a ball...Whit has been saying ball a lot...and just yesterday took interest in his bat I bought him for his 1st birthday....running around with the bat in one hand and the ball in the other...I set him up to swing...he loved it...we have done it a few times...this winter he will be a professional....

a few minutes later..the ball hit the floor..and he started to hit the ball around on the floor...Jordy was saying, "maybe he's a hockey player"...

WHATEVER!

Just words really:

Picked Whityn up last week and Gloria (one of his teachers) says to me, "Lauryn, he is really going to be the class clown"...and I couldn't help but laugh....and be terrified too. eeesh. I guess during lunch, he really hams it up and tries to get the other kiddos to join in. He is successful too she says. Dangit Whit!!!! heheheeh.

This weekend:

It seems like every single moment something is changing and growing...Whityn is only walking...it's insane...he is so very proud of himself....I am proud of him too. He loves dancing as of this weekend...I had the music on...bluegrass and he was shaking his head...moving in circles...flapping his arms...so I changed it to hip hop to see if I could get some real moves...and he completely stopped...so I put "bluegrass" on again..and wham...there he went shaking it....so funny.

Whityn is saying LOTS and LOTS of "NO"...but in addition to that, he is signing: please, thank you, all done, more, milk, eat and he makes up some other ones...it's so cute. I love it.

more where that came from later when I remember it...and when I remember my camera cord to load new pics...speaking of pics...WE (me, whit, and jord) got our pictures taken last week in the mountains...it was so fun...can't wait to show yah soon.

meet the new kitty...jordy finally got to name a boy "William Wallace"...after his grandpa...I call the kitty Carl...but whatever!

See this little pew that Whit is sitting on...my friend Rachel picked it up for me at a garage sale...it was in my classroom as a "THINKING" spot...but I painted it..and brought it home cause it's the perfect size for you know who...he loves it...he logs lots of hours sitting, standing, sitting, standing...

the dogs are so 3rd string right now...they barfed in the office...and it's neon orange...so jordy and I kicked them out into the shop last Friday...
however, they are still high on Whit's list!
I am loving this walking thing.
Last week we got a SURPRISE box on the front stoop....it was from Ramey...a box of toys...books and goodies from the Caulkins house!!!! What a fun surprise!!!! Thanks Rames!
A new favorite: Melissa and Doug Transportation puzzle....it makes the TRUCK noise when you put the piece down into the spot...
yes, of course I have decorated my house with cheesy dollar tree decor....I would have it no other way!!!
Last week...I picked Whityn up with this on his head...his FIRST BUMP/SCRATCH/OUCHIE...they said he fell out on the rocks...but got right up...and kept going.
