My friend Arynne and her husband recently shared an article on Facebook about this family that lives in Cabot, Vermont. The title of the article is "We don't need no education"! Then I stumbled across the authors blog which is listed below and now I am reading his book Homegrown and this is just what we want and are striving for. Sometimes I feel like this is exactly why we moved across the country so that this part of our lives could start unfolding. I am thrilled about the next few years to come. But more importantly I can't wait to just dive right into this book and read it to finish.

Call it whatever!
So, be it home school… Unschool… Montessori… Waldorf… Charlotte Mason or whatever. I don't know what exactly it is that we (The Griffin boys and their fearless mama) are doing, but I do know it feels more right than ever.

Hiatus...
So, life with kiddos is busy nonetheless. Vermont has been good to us. We are learning so much about ourselves, our family and naturally transitioning into what we really want.
So for now...
Our home is for sale.
I began Homeschooling my awesome 6 year old.
I am challenged daily by my 3 year old every few minutes.
I started my own business this year.

Life is busy and this is happening!
We have been embracing new routines and still letting the dust settle around us. We got invited to a birthday party....beautiful spot on the river.
Whit is in full swing of kindergarten. He brought a cocnut on the first day. Your child brings a lovey or blanket and mine brings a coconut. It was quite the distraction and I got a call about it later in the evening. It was only supposed to travel in his backpack, but when I tried to leave whit in his classroom he started to resist and get upset. I told him to go and grab his cocnut and it did the trick. I love that kid. So far....he loves going to school. He is happy and resilient and like a sponge.

He is sensitive and quick to anger and quick to apologize. He will be 2 in two weeks. Crazy.
